A key to a good move is proper packing and protection - and we know how to do it.

Our highly-trained van operators and packing crews will turn your move into a simple process for your whole family. Packing is done room-by-room to make unloading and unpacking orderly.

There's nothing we can't prepare, pack, pad, and move safely for you ... no matter how delicate or odd-shaped. Our skilled crews know how to handle appliances properly to prevent internal damage. We can also arrange for pre- and post-move services to make sure your appliances are properly unhooked and connected.

We have the know-how and the proper materials for the delicate and the hard-to-handle.

 

DID You KNOW? Koldon Moving can even move your cars, campers, or vans.   We have special equipment to move your vehicle -- on car carriers (like new car manufacturers do!) or in moving vans. This ensures the safe, secure, transport of your vehicle.

Our van operators are far more than just truck drivers. We invest thousands of dollars to specially train just one of them ... it's an ongoing process!  Our van operators to treat your belongings as if they were their own.

To sharpen their skills, our van operators are trained on our fourteen-acre Safe Track driving course.

Our van operators perfect safe-driving techniques using the only interactive driving simulator in the industry.

 

 

Inventory and Tracking      (Return - Top)

We inventory every single one of your belongings before we begin loading. All items, including cartons, receive numbered stickers that correspond to their written description and condition.

 

DID You KNOW? We use the NorthAmerican exclusive WORLDTRAC® satellite system that provides two-way communication and tracking of your shipment.

 

 

Possession Protection      (Return - Top)

At Koldon Moving, we offer your belongings the best protection available. The North American damage record is one of the lowest in the industry.  However, in the unfortunate event that a mistake happens, rest assured, we have you covered with a choice of possession protection plans that are second to none.

• RCP - Replacement Cost Protection: RCP is the best protection available. It offers repair, replacement or reimbursement, at our option, without depreciation. RCP must be purchased in an amount equal to the shipment weight multiplied by at least $3.50.*
• DVP - Depreciated Value Protection: DVP provides repair, replacement or reimbursement based on an item's depreciated value. DVP must be purchased in an amount equal to the shipment weight multiplied by at least $1.25.*
• Basic Liability: Our basic liability coverage provides repair, replacement or reimbursement up to sixty cents per pound, per item, maximum - at no additional charge.*

Notify us of damage as soon as possible. We'll send you a claim form and return envelope. We'll immediately take steps to take care of it, however, the first step is yours - to file your claim with Koldon Moving.

Upon receiving your written claim, our claims representative will contact a repair specialist to arrange for inspection and/or repairs. The repair specialist will fill out a report and send it to us. If an item of immediate concern, such as a bed or refrigerator, is damaged beyond use, we'll pay for a quality rental while it is being repaired or replaced. Make sure you don't throw away any damaged items or cartons prior to our inspection. Our goal is to make sure you are satisfied.

Koldon Moving offers protection plans based on the value you declare for your belongings.  If you are unsure of the total value, we suggest this guideline: $8,000 per room, or approximately one-half the value of your home, plus items of special value such as paintings, crystal, China, etc.

* Please consult with us for information relating to shipments destined to and from Hawaii and Alaska as the minimum amounts and costs do slightly vary.

 

 

Pledge of Performance      (Return - Top)

We promise to take the greatest care of you, your family and your belongings from the time you ask us to move you until after we settle you in your new home.

We promise to take every precaution in packing, loading and transporting your belongings to protect them while they're in our care.

We promise to settle any damage claims quickly and fairly.

We promise that if we delay your move in the continental United States, we will pay for accommodations or make other appropriate arrangements for you and your family.

At Koldon Moving we use an independent research firm to monitor our moves and make sure you're happy with our performance - we're never satisfied until you are.
